The recent reform of the wine has introduced the measure of green harvesting, ie the total destruction of green grapes are not ripe yet. This measure should be useful in addressing the crisis that is affecting the market, but the rate that producers receive for bringing their vineyards to this destruction are not high. This practice must be done prior to coloring and producers it will be a flat rate per hectare, which can not exceed 50% of the total cost of removal of grape bunches and the income loss they suffer. The Regions will decide soon the amount will be awarded to those who submit to green harvesting and aid will be different when it comes to harvest by hand or mechanical. The measure of regional application, then each region will decide whether to apply, with which method to implement it, whether or not to discard certain areas or so varieties. But not all regions are in fact examples for green harvesting as Tuscany and Emilia Romagna have decided to work on aid to restructuring and grape vineyards.
